[youtube JEIaQOcM2nM] Hey, you guys. My name is Victoria and I want to take the time to make this little video for Sam at Super-Trainer because he has been absolutely amazing. I think I’m not the only one that feels this way but I feel that he has been totally over-delivering every single day amazing posts, amazing blogs, amazing information, stuff that is worth thousands of dollars. So I guess this is kind of my way of saying thank you and just wanted to kind of give back. So I thought of making this little video and showing you guys or telling you guys some of the things that  I’ve been doing at my boot camp to kind of switch it up a little bit and keep it fun and exciting. There are so many different boot camps out there and we always try to stand out and be different and one of the ways of doing that is I try to keep it fun and exciting. So they have to work out everyday. We keep them fit. But why not have fun while you’re getting fit? So one of the things I’ve done is I bought a bunch of […]

Fitness Marketing Law #20 – The Law of Hype

Fitness Marketing Law #20 – The Law of Hype

Fitness Marketing law of hype means a new concept or situation that was successful in the press often times turns out to be a marketing failure. All this fuss is made, the product is viewed as a huge success and then ends up failing (Kind of like the XYZ boot camp franchise). The law of hype primarily refers to new innovative products that claim to make other products obsolete. I never forget the day that one of the  XYZ boot camp co owner said in his mastermind. He said “Open up and XYZ boot camp or worry about it when one opens next to you”. To date I can name over 40 XYZ boot camp locations that didn’t make it (these are the ones I know of) and many more that will not continue past their contracted agreement. I recently watched a so called “fitness guru” video that claimed that by raising your energy you will make another 300K in your boot camp. Do You Believe that This ONE THING ALONE is going to Make You An Extra $300K per year?  I don’t and want your opinion…… Watch closely at about 2:20 in this video for this ridiculous and illegal […]

Hey there Super-Trainers, its Dave Peterson again and I hope you’re doing awesome today and your business is doing even better! Last time I went through a few key lessons I have learned in the past year that helped me go from working in a corporate gym to owning my own facility and having my own training staff in less than a year. I want to go over strategic marketing and growth today to show you where my business is at, what our goals are in the coming months and how we plan to accomplish those goals. We will shortly be adding the following: Membership Website   I will only discuss our main forms of revenue today and the smaller streams will be assumed at the same rate of growth. We have broken down our main revenue streams (BootCamp and training) into the following metrics: Active Members Current Avg Value   We currently have gross revenues of just over 20k per month (as of September) and have set a goal of increasing gross revenue by 50% (to get to 30k) by February 1st 2012. We are still fairly new so we don’t have the current market penetration we would ideally […]

Hey. It’s your boy Sam here. It’s Sunday morning. If you look at the top of my screen, that’s 7:06 AM. I’m pumped up. Now you can sleep in on Sundays, man. I get up at around 4:00 AM. Usually weekdays it’s 3:00 AM and so already I went out and got some chest and bicep done. I got 45 minutes of cardio done. I already had my second breakfast and I’m pumped up.   So today what I’m going to talk to you about is how it went with my launch and anatomy of what you need to do if you have a great info product. What do you need to do to be successful? I’m going to show you some real numbers, no theory.   I’m not going to be BS-ing you. I know you’re too smart for that. I’m not going to tell you I sold a million of them, 500 of them and not show you any numbers. Everything that I’m going to show, I’m ever going to say, I’m going to back it up.   So let’s go talk about what it takes to be successful in doing something for marketing. Now, these are […]

Keeping It Real In Your Fitness Business

Keeping It Real In Your Fitness Business

I’ve been on this site sporadically, but expect to see me on more in the future.  If you need a quick update, I now have an offline bootcamp business, BETTER BODY BOOTCAMP, that has over 200 members and did $33,000 in sales last month (more in contracts), have gotten the business fully outsourced (although I still work a ton in it), and am less than two weeks away from opening my second location (this one is 2,500 square feet).  It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been hell of a lot of fun. Although fitness business info that I get from here on Super-Trainer and other high-level small business related info I get through marketing circles has been vital in this process, a lot of lessons that drive me are things I’ve learned from outside of the business realm.  I want to talk about one of those lessons that rattles in my brain frequently, and it comes from an unlikely source. For the most part, when I’m working, I don’t take my cues from other business people, and even less from fitness business owners.  I find most of them boring.  I take my lessons on work ethic from people like Lil […]
