Fitness marketing is an absolute necessity when it comes to getting the name of a particular business into the public eye. A personal trainer or fitness complex will inevitably have to pay for advertising at some point, but that is not a pressing concern for an upstart fitness complex. When starting out with a fitness business, just like any other, there are avenues to follow which do not lead to an empty pocket. That is to say, free and cheap methods of advertising are available to fitness businesses. Whether it is a gym with partner personal trainers, or a new fitness tape or exercise regimen, there is a particular niche with the internet to help publicize it. Fitness Marketing Tactics The first option of fitness marketing is the creation of a blog. Anyone can create a blog. There are websites specifically created to help users create a blog that can achieve a high amount of hits. It is unnecessary (at least at first) to waste money on a tech head to do the work on a blog that can be easily created and posted online. “If you want to be better, then you have to surround yourself with people that are BETTER than you.” People with self-esteem and a desire to succeed in life are never daunted in the presence of geniuses, beauty queens, billionaires or champions. All the while, the winner is thinking in the back of his mind, “What can I learn from these people? How can I network with these people to boost my own career? What common ground do we have that puts us in the same league? Can I envision the success that these people enjoy for my own life?” If I want to be a successful business entrepreneur, I’m not going to hang out with weirdoes and drug addicts. You ARE the company you keep! If I want to be happy, I’m not going to sit in a round robin with a group of self-ascribed pessimists and manic depressives. If I want to win a marathon, I’m going to hang out with like-minded marathon runners, not a bunch of McCouchPotatoes. You see where I’m going with this? Here’s a star example: Heavyweight Champion Boxer Mike Tyson was once at the top of his game. “Iron Mike” […]

Imagine if we were like computers – born with all the knowledge of the world already saved and stored in our teeny tiny baby brains. We would never have to read or learn to write. No time would be spent going through the school system. Yes, what a world that would be! Yet, in the real world, we’re born with unlimited potential and a natural intelligence that enables us to learn whatever we want to – if we’re willing to invest the time and money into ourselves. You know what’s disgusting? A recent survey by the Jenkins Group found that 1 out of 3 high school graduates never read another full book after high school and 42 percent of college graduates never read another complete book after university. A whopping 80 percent of US households did not buy a book last year and 70 percent of US adults have not been in a bookstore in the last five years. Most Americans don’t make the time to read and further their knowledge. Is it any wonder you come across so many stupid people? Fitness entrepreneurs who want to succeed should be reading a book a day, not to mention newspapers, newsletters, […]

Video one-Discover where Joe is after act one and what’s going on in Joe’s mind… [youtube bENFP-I7GN0] As Joe’s story continues, you’ll realize he’s the kind of trainer that really still enjoys training and connecting with people. So much, that he doesn’t totally ever disconnect from his roots and trains 10 hours per week with his clients. When Joe started to get away more from the evil corporate big box gym, he found out that the outdoor environment provided the same kind of rush…almost like his times in the NAVY, but a little toned down? So he built several different cardio formats, an advanced strength format and outdoor boot camp […]
