Cynthia’s trained some A-list stars, authored the book BRIDAL BOOTCAMP, had her own show, and is now opening a major personal fitness center.
I sat down for coffee recently with someone I’ve known for a while (and you may have seen featured on the blog), celebrity trainer Cynthia Conde. She’s a fellow trainer and highly successful bootcamp operator in my area, and she’s been there from the beginning witnessed first hand how I took off as a trainer. I wanted to hear about about the new full-service training facility she’s building in the posh area of Long Island out here in New York. And she also knows that I’ve been doing really well with some online projects lately, and she wanted to pick my brain on about them too.
I’m always impressed at what a doer Cynthia is. You’ve got to surround yourself with people like that to learn from and motivate you. And she’s always spellbound when I talk about the marketing tricks she can use to boost her training business.

It’s funny how some of the marketing basics we talk about here openly on the blog and are pretty much common knowledge to us, wowed her. I didn’t even tell her anything too advanced, or I would have had to charge her.
With all of the construction and equipment issues with her gym coming to a close, one thing she knows she has to pay attention to right now is her website. And she’s known for a while that my site is number one on the search engines where we are. She also told me she loved the look of it, and that was all before she learned the reasons why it works …
Once she found out why it encourages first time visitors to take the first step, how it encourages them to contact me, and it provides all of the necessary information to close the sale on it’s own, not to mention how easy it is for me to update myself whenever I needed to, she was hooked. This thing is crazy – I think it’s pretty much a no brainer for a trainer that needs to get his site done, or his business card and other things ready.

Kaiser, I noticed the sites look pretty similar and there only a few colors to chose from. Have you had a problem with trainers in the same area getting the same site? I want to get one, but I’m in Seattle which is a pretty big city with a lot of trainers, and I don’t want another trainer over here getting the same site as me. Is there anything you’re doing about that?

Abdul, I recommend you get your application in now. That’s because it’ll take you at least a week or two to get your pictures ready and over to me – and after that we may need as much as a week to get your project done. Considering all of that, once your cert comes in, you’ll be ready to go.

I’m real excited to get started with this. The toplevetrainer manual is the best book I’ve ever read and I can’t tell you how much it changed my life. I’ve already got 7 clients paying me $45 an hour. I know it’s not much but I was making about $300 a paycheck (every two weeks) about six months ago working for Golds. I made that much in a day last weekend! I know with the website and marketing documents, that’s going to get better. Your stuff is awesome Kaiser – thanks for doing everything you do and being one of the honest guys in this business really trying to help trainers out.
