I have been guilty of that myself. I used spend a bunch of money on advertising and marketing and just hoped and prayed that it would work.

I never measured the ROI (return on investment) of ANY of my marketing efforts.

Until one day I learned direct response marketing.

According to Wikipedia Direct-Response Marketing is a type of marketing designed to generate an immediate response from consumers, where each consumer response (and purchase) can be measured, and attributed to individual advertisements.

I can’t believe that for years I literally threw thousands of dollars away on advertising and marketing that I couldn’t measure. That sucks…….

But that was the past…..

Today I will not touch any form of marketing unless I can precisely measure it. I hope you can learn from my mistakes and not just throw something on the wall and hope it will stick.

If you can’t measure your marketing then you have no way of knowing if it’s working or not.
