In the fitness marketing world we’re constantly bombarded with the latest and the greatest whiz bang marketing techniques and products. I am guilty of that myself cuz let’s face it new gadgets are cool and exciting. We all want the latest “gizmo” to solve our problem and be “that magic bullet”.
If you are in search of a magic bullet then you’re reading the right post. There is no magic bullet when it comes to marketing methods. Things that worked yesterday will not necessarily work today.
Things that work today might not work tomorrow. (remember Criag’s list and Myspace)
The only “magic bullet” is to be good to PEOPLE.
If you want to be successful in business you got to genuinely care about people and go the extra mile for them.
People can tell from a mile away who is sincere and who is not.
I think it was Zig Zigler who said “If you give people what they want, you will get what you want”
Learning new fitness marketing techniques is cool and I love learning them too. But don’t EVER forget the basic fundamentals. Going the extra mile WILL outperform SEO, PPC, Facebook, etc…. everytime in the long run. TRUST ME.
Going the extra mile will separate you from the others and …….
If you been reading my posts then you know that when it comes to fitness marketing or just plain old marketing for that matter, differentiation IS THEY KEY.
I love it! That definitely separates you from the rest, we always try to do that little extra for every client. Great tip Sam!
btw…love the shirt, I bet it’s from Jonas lol
That’s right Sako you know exactly where I got that shirt. I know you’re going to CRUSH it in your new facility cuz you already doing this stuff.
Yes Sam… SO right – No one these days wants to go that extra mile, to do something without either payment or recognition, A case of Me, Me, Me – Take Take Take…
Something I have learned from all you good guys (Yaself, Bedros, Stevie Hochman etc… ) it is sometimes better to give than to receive, adds to the customer satisfaction – Ultimatley in client retention!
Look forward to more words of wisdom… Hang tuff!
Sam that is so true. If you want to stand out you have to WOW. Being good enough isn’t good enough. People want to know you really care. Thanks for sharing… Imagine what they would have brought you if they mixed your colors with your whites, LOL.
Cheers,
AC
With you a 100% Sam! Going the extra mile is a huge differentiator that will just build on why people should do business with you rather than someone else.
