Hey! What’s going on? It’s AJ and I want to take a few minutes of your time. I know you’re really busy but bear with me. Just answer this one question. So when was the last time you heard the sound of yourself breathing?

Now that’s a very profound question and it really makes you think because you’re breathing 24/7. When was the last time you actually stopped to actually listen to it? Now this makes you realize like what you’re really paying attention to and we’ve always been a busy person, have a lot of things going on. You tend to think a lot. Now the average person thinks 30,000 to 50,000 thoughts a day and most of those thoughts are like repetitive. They’re thinking about the past, their future, just like irrational things that never happened.

Now I come to find that the less that you think and the more you focus on whatever is going on in your life, the  more you give it attention and the less you’re in your mind, the happier you’re going to be, the more peace of mind you’re going to have.

Now, people have all different types of methods. Well, to meditate or go through different exercises or whatever the case is. I’m not like the meditation type. I can’t just sit there for like 20 minutes with my eyes closed and it’s not my cup of tea.

But I tried this method and I’ve used it for years and it makes a huge difference over just my relaxation, my peace of mind, just focusing on the present task at hand.

Now what I simply do every morning when I wake up is I will count to 100 while breathing into my nose, breathing out through my mouth. So I breathe into my nose. Exhale. Now count to one, two, three, four, five, until I get to 100. It takes like to two to three minutes but it has a profound effect over just my clarity, just minimizing my thoughts, just allowing me to really just be aware of what’s going on in my life rather than just letting my mind just chatter away.

Now, I will also use this if like something happens, like some crazy thing happens to me. All of a sudden I react with like just thinking. Rather than just thinking, I sense it like something is off. I will take two, three minutes, breathe into my nose, out through my mouth. Just focus on my breathing and at the same time, I will minimize those thoughts and just like realize that like my mind is just crazy.

It’s like stupid situations that never are going to happen and it’s like I’ve shown [0:02:24] [Phonetic]. If you think less, you’re going to be happier. You’re going to have more peace of mind. You’re going to focus more on life, what’s present in front of you.

So if you could literally count your thoughts and you go from 50,000 to 40,000, you’re going to be much happier because like I said, most of the thoughts are repetitive and they’re in the past and the future. They have no substance, no value for you.

So, give it a shot. Simply take a few minutes. Count to 100. Watch your breathing and if you have any other tips or any other insights that help calm you down, I would love to learn from you.

So by all means, hit me up. Let me know. Bye.
