What’s up Super-Trainers – hope you’re enjoying your summer! Not much more left of it, so get it in while it lasts. I’m getting a little bit of R&R this week, so will take the opportunity to do some catching up with this blog … You’re going to see some changes – well not really changes, but more of a return to our DUMP THE GYM roots. I think I got ahead of myself with the totally new shift of the blog, because if you haven’t dumped the gym yet, that’s where it all starts, so we’ll put the focus back there for a bit. That’s the subject where I’m still getting the most questions and positive feedback, so that’s what I’ll give you (look out for the return of the UNDERGROUND NEWSLETTER too). On that subject, I got a very good question from a long time reader of the blog recently, Greg. His question was all about getting out of the gym. Greg’s taken the lessons he’s learned here to heart – he started a web site, and tried to build his business outside of the gym. As we all know, you can easily make three times as much […]

In case you haven’t noticed or you’re new to S-T, there’s some really kick ass content in the archives of this blog. We have the same people spilling better insider info here than on many of the compilation products or paid newsletters out there, and it’s all for free. One guy that you don’t hear much about anywhere else, but is one of the best trainers turned marketers out there, is Marc Lebert. The inventor of the ubiquitous Lebert Equalizer (who doesn’t have one of those?) and the new Lebert Buddy System, has always drawn upon his experience as a trainer to create hit products. He’s also an example of a completely different but just as appealing and profitable form marketing other than information marketing, which is product marketing. If sitting at your computer unshaven, in your boxers for hours (what my life has turned in to) is not your thing then you can always go Marc’s route – it’s just one more example of where this career can go. In this post, I have showcased two of Marc’s classic posts on Super-Trainer. The first is a print interview we did, and the second is me and Marc live on […]

Yeah, yeah, yeah … I know, I’ve been M.I.A. for a while. Hey, you gotta realize I got a lot going on besides Super-Trainer so work with me here (and it’s summer too for God’s sake). But to make up for it, I have killer piece of content for you … It’s a video I shot a couple of months ago for my insider’s list – it will answer a lot of your questions about starting your own blog and turning it into your own personal ATM machine. And I’m talking about in the fitness niche – I never brag about what goes on here (and as you can tell from the past couple of weeks, it’s not like I’m killing myself with this site!). So enjoy the video and leave your comments below – and the next FIT-MONEY newsletter is coming too, with the last 7 seven MAGIC-BULLET blogging tips so look out for it. It’s been less than two months since the new Super-Trainer blog has been up and already this ONLINE FITNESS thing has set off a storm … It seems to have struck a nerve, because I’ve noticed a response different from anything I’ve seen recently in the fitness industry, and definitely far different from anything I’ve ever put out there. It’s getting debated on the forums, talked about on other blogs, and my inbox is getting pounded like never before with reader questions. You could call it the right message at the right time … The fact is that at the very least, many, many trainers are looking for something new – at most, trainers are looking to break out of the gym and find a way to get the most leverage, enjoyment, and money out of fitness. And when it comes to ONLINE FITNESS, you see it around you at a level today that’s impossible to ignore. Sure, the projects I’m partnered in are with some upper-echelon trainers … but fit-pros at all levels are pulling in huge figures, reaching large numbers of people, and making a huge impact with their ONLINE PROJECTS. The haters get mad at what these […]

This five part TRAINERS TURNED ENTREPRENEURS series has been crazy – it’s the most fun I’ve had all summer (wow, that’s pretty pathetic!). All jokes aside, it’s been fun to explore some of the biggest names in fitness, and that’s not even the best part … What’s been amazing, and something I totally wasn’t expecting, is how every one of them had a start in direct response/information marketing. We discovered that what we’re all trying to do with fitness online actually has a rich, deep-rooted history that stretches back for over a century. So no matter who you are or what the project is that you’re growing, it should be obvious that we have some tremendous trailblazers that have set that stage and shown us what’s possible. Ok – now we’re on to our last part of the series, and it’s a man that needs no introduction. For all of our lives, his name has been synonymous with fitness – the great Jack Lalanne. Now 94 years old, Jack stands as a shining example of what’s possible in fitness – wealth, health, success and longevity. He also stands as an example of the ideal career progression in the fitness industry. […]
