I just read the book titled, Raising A Modern-Day Knight: A Father’s Role in Guiding His Son to Authentic Manhood by Robert Lewis. If you have a son get it and read it. It truly is a great book.
I wanted to share Lewis’s 4 Principles of Manhood and how they apply to you if you want a successful business.
Passivity is made for the masses that want to be told what to do and how to do it. If that is you, close up shop because you are going to fail. If you want success, if you want to create something bigger than yourself, if you want to be in control of your destiny then take action. Action is the key to momentum. Action is the key to success. Period.
In your business and more importantly in your life you are responsible for what happens to you and how you deal with it. Don’t blame your employees, blame yourself for not communicating clearly enough. A business is a direct reflection of its leader. What does your business say about you?
“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.”
What is more important to you than failing? Be courageous. “By your action shall you be judged.” Have your vision and lead your team to victory.
Don’t settle. Have your ultimate vision of your best life and go after it daily. Make your business a vessel of achieving it. Too often people settle for good enough. If that is you, SCREW YOU. Seriously, mediocrity is a disservice to you, your family, and your clients. Be great and expect greatness from others.
I hope these 4 Principles of Manhood resonate with you and your business. Step up to the challenge and be great today.
Peace,
Armando
