THE FATHER OF THE E-BOOK: CRAIG BALLANTYNE!!! Talking To The Leader In the Business of Online Fitness (Listen to the in-depth audio)!!!
Posted on 08. Apr, 2009 by Kaiser.
It’s funny how our little personal training and fitness world works … … because although he’d never get recognized at the mall, I talked to a guy recently who’s an absolute celebrityCraig Ballantyne. to trainers worldwide (and just like any celebrity, almost everyone has something to say about him) – In some way or another we all know who Craig is – whether you’re working on an e-book, attending conferences, or just hating on him for making money doing basically the same thing you might be doing 12 hours a day for peanuts; Craig’s a guy that’s very active in this business and known by and friends with most of the people at the top of it. What Craig’s famous for is bringing the e-book mainstream to a new generation of young trainers that have used him for help or inspiration in their own online efforts. His reach is much larger than e-books now, with his original project, Turbulence Trainingmembership and community component to it, and Craig now heavily involved as a business coach in all the areas of online training, from e-books, to membership sites, to oline promotion. now with a huge Here’s the audio from our conversation: (I [...]

YOUR PERSONAL TRAINING WEBSITE: HOW TO KEEP IT SIMPLE (The Ten Ways Most Trainers OVER-DO It With Their Websites)
Posted on 23. Mar, 2009 by Kaiser.
“Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication.” – Leanardo Da Vinci We may not always take life and career advice from Leanardo Da Vinci, but that little tidbit was profound … … especially when talking about your website. Your site’s the supporting leg holding your training practice up, for a lot of obvious reasons. But despite the best efforts of my buddies like Chris McCombs, it seems to me most trainers are still clueless when it comes to creating their sites. They’re throwing all of their time and money into them, and still getting horrible results. Just get this part handled, and your float of 10-15 high-paying clients established, and you can basically “retire” from training, so to speak. Because of the demand, I’m going to try to bring back the Super-Trainer Services to help you out with this if you need it. But right right now, here’s as definitive a guide as possible to get a performing website up and running quick-fast

PERSONAL TRAINERS and the INTERNET!!! The ULTIMATE LOVE/HATE Relationship!!!
Posted on 27. Feb, 2009 by Kaiser.
What is it with trainers and the web? Mastering how to market yourself on the Internet is what can really set you free as a Personal Trainer. It’s how you can get an endless stream of clients … That’s because most potential personal training clients are glued to their computers all day, every day. They use them all the time for everything; that’s why they need a trainer in the first place! I’m not sure if everyone knows it, but starting a high-level Personal Training website and Web Marketing was covered in detail in the INDEPENDENT TRAINER program. There was no fluff, only the basics on how to get your site to rank first in google, run a targeted PPC (pay-per-click) campaign, score big with free classified advertising … it’s all there, mapped out in detail along with my own case studies.

What can you say about Chris McCombs that hasn’t been said by him already?!?! When it comes to smash-mouth talk, fitness business tactics, and the aggresive, entrepreneurial mind-set in the world of fitness, Chris is the poster boy! And when it comes to DUMPING THE GYM, making the leap into independent training, and kicking-ass at it, the poster boy is Michael Duivis. Michael and Chris got together recently for what turned out to be a killer interview that completely pulls back the curtain on Chris’ business, blog, and products. There’s nothing more to say than what’s been covered in these four audio clips:

PERSONAL TRAINERS BLOGGING FOR DOLLARS: PART 2 WITH EUGENE THONG – Full breakdown of the importance of blogging for trainers.
Posted on 03. Apr, 2008 by Kaiser.
Just when you thought having a website was enough, things online have changed. Creating a static web-page where people come to get information isn’t enough anymore; you need to tell a story that people can connect with. But since you’re a living, growing human being, this story is constantly changing, and if you want to form a strong relationship with your customers, it’s one they’ll want to know about. This is where a blog comes in. With the Internet being about information, that’s precisely what your prospect is looking for when they’re searching for a trainer online. In order to be comfortable with you, they want to form a relationship before they even meet you. While in some ways your website can do that, it’s better to go even deeper. Often, the person that gives the visitor the most access and personal information is the one who’ll win the sale. That’ll be the person that formed the stronger relationship with the prospect, and the relationship is everything. What Is A Blog? Traditionally, a blog (short for web-log) was like an online diary, but consultants like us use it for a specific purpose: we transmit our knowledge, passion, philosophy, and values [...]
