How To Get Personal Training Clients With Facebook …

Special guest post by my good bud and 9th degree evil genius Bedros Keuilian: Getting clients for your personal training or boot camp business from facebook is easy and cheap. Recently I’ve been doing a lot of testing… sometimes spending as much a thousand dollars a day on facebook just to figure things out. And here are three sneaky things I’ve figured out about getting clients using facebook. First off, if you’ve never done it before, running an ad in FB is easy… … just log into your FB account, scroll all the way down to the bottom and click the “advertising” button and walk through the steps. Now here’s what I’ve figured out to get the most clicks for the lowest price on facebook ads. SNEAKY LITTLE SECRET # 1: Facebook does NOT care about getting your money. What they care about is their customer experience. So, if your ad is not relevant to the market that you’re advertising to FB will show your ads less. On the other hand if FB decided that your ads are relevant to the market they will actually show your ads more – even if your competitors are willing to pay more per [...]

PERSONAL TRAINERS and the INTERNET!!! The ULTIMATE LOVE/HATE Relationship!!!

What is it with trainers and the web? Mastering how to market yourself on the Internet is what can really set you free as a Personal Trainer.   It’s how you can get an endless stream of clients … That’s because most potential personal training clients  are glued to their computers all day, every day.  They use them all the time for everything; that’s why they need a trainer in the first place! I’m not sure if everyone knows it, but starting a high-level Personal Training website and Web Marketing was covered in detail in the INDEPENDENT TRAINER program. There was no fluff, only the basics on how to get your site to rank first in google, run a targeted PPC (pay-per-click) campaign, score big with free classified advertising … it’s all there, mapped out in detail along with my own case studies.

What can you say about Chris McCombs that hasn’t been said by him already?!?!  When it comes to smash-mouth talk, fitness business tactics, and the aggresive, entrepreneurial mind-set in the world of fitness, Chris is the poster boy! And when it comes to DUMPING THE GYM, making the leap into independent training, and kicking-ass at it, the poster boy is Michael Duivis. Michael and Chris got together recently for what turned out to be a killer interview that completely pulls back the curtain on Chris’ business, blog, and products.  There’s nothing more to say than what’s been covered in these four audio clips:

“THE ART OF THE DEAL” FOR PERSONAL TRAINERS: Making Deals to Get More Training Clients

Posted on 07. Nov, 2008 by .

As you already know, the The Art of the Deal was the title of the first of the series of self-promoting books by Donald Trump. In it he talks about his big deals with other major moguls and players on the New York scene. But making deals isn’t something reserved just for people in real estate. As a Personal Trainer, it’s something you need to get good at too. Some people might consider that “work”, but I consider it a perk. You get to deal with people of all levels as part of being a Personal Trainer. This of course makes you a much more competent and confident person. These are qualities you’ll carry for the rest of your professional life.

HOW TO BECOME A CELEBRITY TRAINER!!! THREE PERSONAL TRAINERS REVEAL HOW TO MAKE THE MEDIA YOUR BIT*H!!!

Posted on 15. Jul, 2008 by .

Haha – that title will getcha reading, won’t it? It’s undeniable that there’s a certain panache to the term Celebrity Trainer … but what does it mean exactly? People tend to think that it means you train celebrities, but not in my opinion. What it means is that you the trainer are the celebrity. For that, you need the help of the media. When I was a kid and watched the news, TV shows, and things in print, I’d be in awe, thinking that type of media coverage was impossible. Now that I’m all grown up and have learned about it, I realize getting into the news isn’t as big a deal as it looks. The truth is that the media has a very hard time finding compelling content to fill their broadcasts.

PERSONAL TRAINING REVEALED! JESSICA STORM Delivers the Inside Scoop On Her Business – TAKE NOTES!!!

I was real happy from what I got out of my recent conversation with Jessica Storm – some bona fide, real-world, implementable training info. Getting straight talk like this in Personal Training isn’t always easy to find – that’s why you see so many Personal Trainers just running in circles for years on end, because you can’t always get candid info from people in the business really doing it (that by the way is what this blog is all about). Most of it comes from people looking to sell us products, or conferences looking to sell us tickets or systems. They’re full of good-sounding ideas, but they have little or no real-world application. Jessica isn’t involved in any of that kind of stuff – all she is through and through is a trainer. And in the process of creating her great small business she’s gone through a career progression to get there that a lot of us can probably relate to and definitely learn from.

PERSONAL TRAINERS BLOGGING FOR DOLLARS: PART 2 WITH EUGENE THONG – Full breakdown of the importance of blogging for trainers.

Just when you thought having a website was enough, things online have changed. Creating a static web-page where people come to get information isn’t enough anymore; you need to tell a story that people can connect with. But since you’re a living, growing human being, this story is constantly changing, and if you want to form a strong relationship with your customers, it’s one they’ll want to know about. This is where a blog comes in. With the Internet being about information, that’s precisely what your prospect is looking for when they’re searching for a trainer online. In order to be comfortable with you, they want to form a relationship before they even meet you. While in some ways your website can do that, it’s better to go even deeper. Often, the person that gives the visitor the most access and personal information is the one who’ll win the sale. That’ll be the person that formed the stronger relationship with the prospect, and the relationship is everything. What Is A Blog? Traditionally, a blog (short for web-log) was like an online diary, but consultants like us use it for a specific purpose: we transmit our knowledge, passion, philosophy, and values [...]

As a great man once said – “Let me see that THONG” – Or in this case I wanted to talk to him: I’m referring to fellow trainer Eugene Thong. For every trainer out there who gets big-time media coverage, trains a roster of stars, or is selling a new workout machine, there are dozens who you may never hear about but that are making great livings in this business. We call them Top-Level Trainers, and Eugene’s one of them. I first found out about him when I came across his blog while doing research online late one night. I ended up spending the next 3 hours completely engrossed by his in-depth posts, probably more for my own fitness than my clients. You can find it at www.eugenization.com.
