If you caught my post last week, you got a little bit of background on buddy Ryan Lee and some of the amazing stuff he’s accomplished … Since then a couple of cool things have happened – first off I recorded a monster interview with Ryan.  Yes, this baby was BAD (bad meaning good).  Ryan hasn’t got to where he is, as first the hands down king of fitness marketing, and now one of the world’s top players in internet marketing, without having a killer instinct … And you’ll get to see some of that in this interview, where Ryan essentially breaks down the entire fitness marketing success blueprint for anyone that has big plans in fitness.  I’ll share the link to that interview with you in a second, but first I’ve got something else to show you, and this is crazy … Ryan has just released the DVDs to his landmark CONTINUITY SUMMIT, and get this, he’s letting you have them for a buck!!! This was hands down the most powerful even I’ve ever been to, and the connections and information I learned there have been paying off for me over and over again since. Stop what you’re doing [...]

The Art of Being a Hack! How To Get Ahead at Warp Speed in Fitness Marketing (Plus, an update on the new Super-Trainer site, coming soon..)

Posted on 04. Jun, 2009 by .

From the hints I’ve been dropping, you know that I’ve been working on the new site for Super-Trainer

It’s coming along great and is going to set the industry on fire, just like the original Super-Trainer did almost two years ago -

Instead of being so shady, let me tell you a little bit about what to expect so you know what you’re looking at once it arrives ….

Til now, S-T has been a fun project for me …

It’s allowed me to stay in touch with everyone at every level of the fitness industry -

But the new site is going to be brand new, hi-tech, and have a new mission -

It will based on all of the feedback I’ve been getting from you about what your real needs and interests are.

It’s going to have some great services you’re going to love that will help you get to your goals more quickly and affordably – they won’t make me much money, but they will help you make serious progress in your fitness career.

In terms of an expected date of launch, I haven’t really set one yet – I’ve been doing a little bit every day with my designers and programmers and it should be ready soon.

One thing that’s been really speeding up the process is that I’ve been modeling the success of others - that’s what I wanted to talk about now -

Whenever we want results at something, we all tend to try to reinvent the wheel, but that’s a mistake ..

CONTINUITY SUMMIT RECAP: Another Transformational Event By Ryan Lee

Ok so here’s the deal – I’m sitting here in the lobby of the Hilton in Stamford Connecticut, after all of the madness that was THE CONTINUITY SUMMIT – I’m pecking away on the computer at a few things I wanted to implement tonight – the event ended earlier today, and I decided to stay an extra night at the hotel, to kind of decompress and sort through all of my notes, etc. Doug is passed out on the couch – we’ve gone through a few straight 16 hour days of learning, net-working, and tom-foolery, and it’s nearly 2AM right now, so he’s got a right to be beat – We just went through another impromptu “session” with another of the many millionaire and deci-millionaire entrepreneurs we’ve hung with and talked to over the course of this long weekend – The dinners, drinks, and hallway sessions were just as valuable as anything we learned on stage, which is pretty incredible because this event had one of the best line-ups I’ve seen anywhere – I was the only idiot taking notes over Patron shots and dinner at PF Cheng’s – I also made a ton of new friends, both with people [...]

This is crazy. Just eleven months ago, I remember sitting in my apartment a month and a half into my first personal training job when I stumbled across this blog for the first time. Now, here I am less than a year later – I’ve dumped the gym (thanks Kaiser), moved back to the South, have already attended a big industry conference in LA at Bedros’ Event, and I have shaken hands and exchanged phone calls and e-mails with many of the current and future heavy hitters in the fitness industry. And now in the same month, I’ll be helping out behind the scenes at Ryan Lee’s event in Stamford, Connecticut at The Continuity Summit. Like I said, crazy.. Because of Ryan’s background, there’s sure to be a lot of other fitness business owners there.  Even one of the speakers, nutrition expert and creator of Warp Speed Fat Loss,  Mike Roussell will be in attendance, representing the fitness industry as a social media expert.  Goes to show you, there’s room to get involved online – even if you see yourself as more of an old school type of trainer. From what I understand, this whole event is going to be [...]

“I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse.” Don Corleone; The Godfather Haha – and just like the Don, there’s been a guy in the fitness industry that’s making trainers an offer they can’t refuse for years now – that man’s Ryan Lee.  He’s been telling trainers to look beyond just their hourly sessions,  gyms, and immediate customers, and embrace the wide world of potential clients out there, and how technology can now help you leverage the job of serving them. Ryan’s responsible for the some of the biggest success stories in the fitness industry. To name who he’s inspired is pointless, because there’s hardly a single person you’ve heard of doing anything big in fitness, whether it be on or offline, that hasn’t been inspired by Ryan in some way.  Guys like Mike Boyle,Eric Cressey, Alwyn Cosgrove, Chris McCombs, Craig Ballantyne, and Nate Green are just a short list of the guys that pay him a huge debt of gratitude. In my case, I hardly had an email account before I heard Ryan’s call to begin embracing the web.  That sparked the learning that allowed me to finally go truly INDEPENDENT, not have to rely on a gym for [...]
