HIRING EMPLOYEES FOR YOUR PERSONAL TRAINING BUSINESS: Biggest Myths Exposed (part one of three).

Who doesn’t like an extra buck?  Obviously not me, since the field-tested info from my training career is for sale (although when you consider the ridiculously low price I charge for it, I must not like money that much :-). But there’s one particularly hard earned piece of info in THE SIX-FIGURE TRAINER MANUAL that I’ve charged for until now, but I think is just too important to keep under wraps. It has to do with the whole issue of HIRING AND MANAGING EMPLOYEES. I’m going to share a few of those excerpts from THE MANUAL in the next part of this series.  This is going to be three parts series on hiring and managing, because I feel this is both the most important part of becoming a high earning business owner, and at the same time ALSO the most difficult. My experience in this area has ranged from death threats, fist-fights, all the way to some very good friendships.  What that has shown me, and any successful business owner will agree, is that employees are by far the BIGGEST adventure for any entrepreneur. This is ESPECIALLY true for a Personal Trainer more than any other type of business owner.  [...]

Personal Training: When Is It The Right Time To DUMP THE GYM For Good?

Personal Training: When Is It The Right Time To DUMP THE GYM For Good?

What’s always surprised me most about the success stories I hear coming in on the blog is how quickly and abruptly everyone takes action.  These guys and gals all pick and burn the bridges once they find out about the world of Personal Training out there that doesn’t involve training in a big-box health-club.  No sleazy bosses, negative co-workers, and crappy pay?  Yes it’s a reality, and I guess once it becomes clear that it’s possible, there’s no going back. But the answer to “when’s the right time?” is different for everyone.  Every situation is different, and even though action needs to be taken fast, it’s relative. For example, here’s an email I just got from a long time reader of the blog Jeff.  Looking at his delicate situation will bring to light to anyone that’s also looking to plan their health-club exit and start their training business. Hi Kaiser I need the input of a professional with your knowledge. Here is my dilema. i consider today day 1 of my conquest to become a top level trainer with my purchase of your material. My cousin Sam and i just got off the phone. i train at 24 hr right [...]

Dave Parise Talks TOP-LEVEL TRAINING …

Dave Parise Talks TOP-LEVEL TRAINING …

For all you you other trainers out there that are old enough to remember 80′s television, we really had some action hits … There was the Incredible Hulk, The Amazing Spider-Man,the A-Team, and just too many more shows to count that probably shaped our addiction to action, speed, and muscle. Among these shows was one I loved in Particular, The Six Million Dollar Man, about a jet pilot horribly injured in a test run; they rebuilt him out of robotic parts into a super, prototype crime fighter with amazing strength, speed, and power.  In Personal Training, there’s one guy that conjures up the same images, a prototype star with super powers, on  a mission of his own, and that’s my buddy Dave Parise. Dave wasn’t born – he was assembled from the parts of past great trainers.  He runs a high end training studio doing over a million a year in sales, so you could call him the million dollar man, but what’s even more impressive is how he does it … He does it without running a boiler room type sales organization – no pushy sales tactics, no aggressive marketing, no high priced info products. Simply high level service, [...]

I got probably the best compliment of my life the other day … It was from a Super-Trainer reader who had just read The Whistleblower Report. He said it’s the most influential thing he’s ever read, just behind THINK AND GROW RICH by Napolean Hill. Haha! Do you believe that? It’s true I poured my heart into that report, but putting it in the same league as the greatest success book of all time? That was high praise to say the least! It also caused me to dig up my copy and give it another read. Among the many absolute gems of wisdom contained in those pages was a message I found especially relevant to us as Personal Trainers. Napoleon Hill pointed out how some of the greatest success stories of all time are built on the sale of Personal Services – here’s how he put it:

LIFESTYLE – THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE IN PERSONAL TRAINING (Learn the REAL REASON behind my upcoming trip to VEGAS)

It’s time to talk about something fun, but at the same time probably the most important topic in your career – and it doesn’t have anything to do with your career at all: Your Lifestyle When it comes down to it, this is the reason behind everything we do professionally: that’s why it’s called “making a living“. In Personal Training this is even more important because a lot of our marketability has to do with our lifestyles as well. In getting the kind of life you want, you’ve got to have goals and be assertive. Don’t think for a second that it’s selfish for you to think about creating your ideal lifestyle, because no one else is going to do it for you. The truth is most people are going to have absolutely no regard for your quality of life. In fact, they’ll try to exploit you to help them achieve their own ends, regardless of what you want for yourself, what’s good for you, or what makes you happy. And this goes for everyone in your life; I’m sorry to be the one to break it to you, but now that you know you can take back control. Many [...]
