How To Close Personal Training Clients

Posted on 24. May, 2009 by .

"People get caught up in wonderful, eye-catching pitches, but they don't do enough to close the deal. It's no good if you don't make the sale. Even if your foot is in the door or you bring someone into a conference room, you don't win the deal unless you actually get them to sign on the dotted line."

Donald Trump

Say what you want about the Donald, but in business, it all comes down to one thing: closing the deal.

And if you view your Personal Training as your business, then it comes down to the same thing for you too.

Whether you know it or not, there are actually proven systems you can use to close nearly every singl client that crosses your path, and do it for the biggest money training packages possible.

I talked recently to one of the coolest guys in the fitness industry, good ol' boy Pat Rigsby.

Pat's one of the top fitness business leaders, with a hand in so many diverse projects that it's hard to keep up. The work he does impacts a huge number of fitness professional in some way every day.

Me and Pat got on the phone about his new FAST TRACK TO FITNESS MILLIONS event, being held in New Jersey next weekend. If you are anywhere on the east coast, I highly encourage you to check it out.

I just visited the Fit-Pro Magazine site and was shocked by what I saw - they have my picture plastered all over the place!

Haha! I'm not complaining - I love those guys and gals over there, including managing editor John Thompson, Josh Vogt in the ad department, and the lady running it all, Shelby Murphy ...

Besides my picture being all over the place, they also have a new, highly motivational video by Shelby. Shelby really gets what we've been talking about from the beginning on this blog - about how a fitness career is a vehicle for our own personal growth and fulfillment. Here's the video (notice the broad, important issues she touches on):

How I Started An Even BIGGER Movement: Trainers Now Hustling Worldwide …

Posted on 21. May, 2009 by .

I’m happy to say a lot of trainers worldwide have started getting really active in the personal training business because of me … They’ve seen a goofy young guy like them using the web to spread a message – it’s made them very entrepreneurial … One such guy is my buddy Eirik, out in Norway.  Eirik’s a real hustler (ie an action taker) – he’s bought everything I’ve put out, and it’s helped him get his training business established – now he’s looking to expand the reach of his business. An unfortunate limiting step in putting out any new product or service however is having some strong designs representing you.  It’s human nature, that we judge books by their covers. I talked about how Eirik was getting jerked with his fitness marketing design costs in a previous post – now he’s getting quality stuff from my guys for next to nothing. In this post you’re seeing some of the designs he’s got from my team so far – they’re pretty outstanding if I don’t say so myself! If you want to check out the DESIGN service just click this link.  A word of warning – the page only works on […]

Ryan Lee’s Continuity Summit Recap

Posted on 18. May, 2009 by .

Ok so here’s the deal – I’m sitting here in the lobby of the Hilton in Stamford Connecticut, after all of the madness that was THE CONTINUITY SUMMIT – I’m pecking away on the computer at a few things I wanted to implement tonight – the event ended earlier today, and I decided to stay an extra night at the hotel, to kind of decompress and sort through all of my notes, etc. Doug is passed out on the couch – we’ve gone through a few straight 16 hour days of learning, net-working, and tom-foolery, and it’s nearly 2AM right now, so he’s got a right to be beat – We just went through another impromptu “session” with another of the many millionaire and deci-millionaire entrepreneurs we’ve hung with and talked to over the course of this long weekend – The dinners, drinks, and hallway sessions were just as valuable as anything we learned on stage, which is pretty incredible because this event had one of the best line-ups I’ve seen anywhere – I was the only idiot taking notes over Patron shots and dinner at PF Cheng’s – I also made a ton of new friends, both with people […]
