Now, one thing that Danny has done is this amazing… how he had built this amazing relationship with his clients, totally bonded with his clients. I mean, it’s absolutely amazing. I don’t want to go into further details, that’s another story for another time.
But, recently something’s transpired that we all experience in the fitness industry. You know you had that one client that starts out with you, they are kinda chubby, and you get them in good shape and then they think they’re all that and a bag of chips. And now, they go and build their own thing, they think that they can do whatever you do. It happened to me, trust me, I had a client who literally, we get her in shape from frumpy to fabulous. They go up the street, literally a mile from me, they try take all your clients, messaging people on facebook.

Hello Fitness Family, Eat More, Weigh Less? Yup, you read it right… Don’t rub your eyes, do not pinch your cheek; yes you’re awake, this is not a dream. I’m not saying you can eat more food than your body can use and successfully lose weight. However…. I am saying that eating more FREQUENTLY may help you lose more body fat, by controlling your cravings. Does this describe your day…… You wake up in a panic at the sound of the alarm clock. Side Note: It’s my professional opinion that alarm clocks are not good for your health. I mean not too many years ago, the only sound that woke us up was a predator. Alarm clock activates our “fight or flight mechanism” and decreases the appetite for the most important meal of the day ===> Breakfast You think to yourself…. “It’s (fill in the time you wake up) already?” You hit the snooze button And 9 minutes later, you wake up once again in a panic because now you’re 9 minutes late. Networking isn’t: :: Only talking to people when you’re asking for a referral or a favor. :: Going to a Chamber of Commerce Event or BNI meeting and talking about yourself constantly and passing out a stack of business cards. Networking is basically building relationships. Adding value to others lives (they’ll reciprocate). Making people aware of what you do and how you can serve them. So here are some tips: People generally lean on the people or businesses they’re comfortable with and know rather than searching out and ‘interviewing’ a bunch of different solutions. So do all of your friends, family members, neighbors and anyone else you have a relationship with know exactly how you can help them? Make sure they do. Reach out. Start a conversation. Your career will come up. It doesn’t need to be the primary topic. Facebook, personal emails, phone calls and visits for coffee are your friend. Mass emails are not. Most people are passive about connecting with others, so you’ll need to be the proactive one. Send real holiday and birthday cards and be sure to always send a nice note, or at least an email, for events like marriages, children, new jobs, etc. […]

I remember when we first moved to the “land of opportunity.” We couldn’t afford cable television. What’s interesting is that back then…. We always found something interesting to watch. Fast forward 27 years later. I’m happy to announce that we can now afford cable television ;) But…. With over 500 T.V channels, we can never find anything interesting to watch. And that’s just fine with me. But once in a while (very rarely) Wifey and I put our little princess to bed early hoping to catch a flick. And after about 20 minutes of flipping through the channels. Frustrated, we finally give up. WTH… 500 T.V channels and we can’t find a single thing to watch? Really??? So what’s that have to do with your fitness business. Basically that… If you present 27 different programs and prices to your potential client, they get confused. In business and life. When we’re unclear and confused, we tend not to take action.
