Whats up Super-Trainers?! It’s your #1 dude Stevie Krebs here I don’t know about you, but I absolutely F’ing hate losing members! It probably keeps you up at night thinking about why, like when your high school sweetheart gave you the boot. It just plain old sucks ass! Even losing one member stings, doesn’t it? The hardest part is coming to the realization that it is our own fault. SO the question remains “Why” do they leave? Lack of connection is #1. Why do most people cheat on their significant other? Same reason they leave your business, they just don’t feel appreciated. So many of us get caught up trying to bring in new leads that we forget about the people who pay our bills! Instead of dwelling on losing them, lets focus on the solutions to the problem! Solutions: Keep your members engaged and feeling appreciated by: a) Set up private support groups on Facebook b) Send personal Facebook messages and emails c) Crown a client of the month, and be consistent! d) Be consistent with every part of your member experience. Inconsistency will create an instant disconnect. e) Know your members! It’s not enough just to provide quality […]

A few months ago I flew down to Sacramento to pay a visit to my friend and coaching Matt Weaver. Matt, his partner Pete and their team of managers and trainers run a very professional, efficient, organized fitness business. I was most impressed by this “system” they used to progress their training clients. Matt kept mentioning a guy by the name of “Nick Osborne” He swore up and down about how “Nick’s System” has helped revolutionize their training programs. I asked Matt “how come I haven’t heard this Nick guy” He then replied “he is NOT a marketer, he is a guy who is in the trenches that really knows his ####. So… I had to find out more about this “Nick guy” PS- A BIG congratulations to Matt and the staff at results 24 gym.. Their facility was recently voted the #1 gym in Sacramento. See the below. “Sam thanks for all of your help this year. You know last January when we went down to Chino Hills I told you that our goal was to grow our revenue, expand our business and take it to the next level. 9 months later and we are well on our way. I have been in the fitness business for well over 20 years and have figured out a few things on how to be successful… and, of course, how to fail. I learned that systems need to be constantly refined, until they’re seamless and successful. Systems allow employees to learn how to do something that’s proven to work, learn it so well that they have confidence in it and then forget about the system itself and focus on the person involved. Do you have something that is costing you money in your company or that’s irritating you? Develop a system to fix it! Here’s a great example of how a system can help you…getting new members involved in personal training as soon as they join. Are you tired of watching new members walk past your personal trainers? Is your membership sales department missing the boat on getting people involved in personal training from the new member’s first day? Are you losing money because very few members get involved with your trainers once they join your gym? Do you have a system in place for that whole process that anyone can follow to get your members involved in personal training? As you […]
