Hey Super Trainers, A picture is worth a thousand words or 1,000 punches (in Money Mayweather’s Case). Not only does 7figga Sam deliver great content at the Vegas Mastermind/Retreat.  He also surprises us with once in a lifetime experiences. #workhardplayhard. After masterminding by the pool, we saw Floyd Money Mayweather spar 4 rounds with a top amateur fighter, get in about two hours of skill work, and talk a ton of trash. The champ works hard (hint hint…reason he’s the champ)…3 training sessions a day…no air conditioning in his gym… Below are more golden nuggets, bagged and tagged, from this year’s 7Figga Retreat…   7 Tips from 7Figga Retreat   Tip1…Attend fitness events… Not just for the content, but for the hidden gem.  The Hidden Gem?…you will meet ‘n make connections with tons of like-minded people (which can only help you and your business). -Thanks Sam Bakhtiar   Tip2…Avoid the shiny objects… As Fitness Pro’s, we often come up with a million and one ideas for our business (i.e. cell phone apps is the current flavor of the month).  Stick with your guns and what makes your business tick. -Thanks Luka Hocevar Tip3…How many clients would you have if you had never […]

How much $$$$ do you keep?

How much $$$$ do you keep?

One question that is attached to most fitness businesses lately is how much do you make a month? I’m pretty fed up with that shit let me tell you. Why? Because it allows people to bullshit themselves into thinking they are making big money. When you think you are making big money, then you spend like you have big money. It’s called living above your means, and it’s a one way ticket to the poor house. One reason Luka and I decided to do coaching with Sam is because he is 100% transparent about what he actually makes from his fitness business. Not what he grosses, what he nets. Because that my friends is the magic number. Compared to other professions that isn’t shit. We shouldn’t be content with grossing six figures, and we DAMN SURE shouldn’t live like rock stars if you don’t net big bucks. I’m not trying to say that it isn’t a HUGE accomplishment to grow your biz, because it’s amazing, and you should be commended for your hard work. But don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back just yet. As an industry we need to get back to reality. The important numbers are […]

What’s up Super-Trainers! Its Dave Peterson, I’m out in Vegas with Sam at the 7Figure Retreat and he left his computer out so I’m taking over Super-Trainer.com. I still can’t believe his computer password is BieberfeverXoXo. We’re having a kickass time out here. From the mansion we’re staying in to the stuff we’re doing (I’ll get into that), and of course the ability to talk shop with some of the sharpest minds in the industry… Kevin Nations is a damn nice guy too! Into the Wild Today we went out to the middle of the damn desert to do some off road ATV riding. Some of these guys are pretty crazy off-roading. Damien decided the trail wasn’t fun enough so he drove off the side of a cliff. No exaggeration there either! That crazy Irishman shot himself down a mountain and is walking around like nothing happened. #ToughAsNails I decided to get into the fun too, so after a poorly timed hand signal to warn about a sharp turn I realized I didn’t give myself enough time to make the turn myself. So I took a nose dive over the handlebars and donated some skin to the Nevada desert. Apparently […]

The Most Amazing Marketing Tool in the World: RESULTS!

(I just wanted to find a way to fit that word into a blog post). Marketing is an amazingly effective tool, if you are GREAT AT WHAT YOU DO. Email Campaigns are helpful, if you are GREAT AT WHAT YOU DO. Facebook/ Social Media tactics are great, if you are GREAT AT WHAT YOU DO. So why do so many Personal Trainers, Boot Camp and gym owners put the “cart in front of the horse”? Most trainers don’t study enough. Most trainers don’t invest in Coaches. Most trainers don’t attend seminars/conferences. Most trainers think they do ENOUGH…….. I attended 12+ events last year, I noticed one thing in common at each event. The MOST SUCCESSFUL people in our industry were in the audience when they weren’t presenting and TAKING NOTES, LISTENING, and LEARNING. These are EXPERTS in our field like Dax Moy, Seven Figure Sam, Pat Rigsby, Mike Boyle, Eric Cressey, Coach Dos,  Alwynn Cosgrove, and many more…….  So many people act like they have it all figured out. They don’t need help. They don’t need to improve their TRAINING SKILLS because they watched an episode of The Biggest Loser. I want to be CRYSTAL FUCKING CLEAR here…… the best marketing […]

The Success Blueprint B.S.

The Success Blueprint B.S.

Let me just get straight to the point on this one without bogging you down in fluff. And quite frankly, I’m positive you have as well; you just may not realize it yet. Because the journey to success isn’t nearly exclusive to the specific pathway, or paved by the groaning weight of yet another “10 Steps – Just Do This Blueprint” like you’ve been told it is. I’ve experienced success in this industry at the highest levels; even been called a ‘legend’ (although personally, I don’t buy into the hype). But my ‘secret formula’ isn’t one of those quotes you can find in a fortune cookie. Nor is it easy to boil down into “10 Steps”. Because what I learned 8 years ago while trapped in the abyss of a career going nowhere and the desperate, longing desire to actually find success, proved positively epic in my life… Success in a mentality; not a blueprint, system or information product. It does not bring happiness or fulfillment (although the opposite is true). And heed this one closely: It will never come to you unless you’ve done the internal dialogue, ignored the standard societal reference points and actually taken the time to […]
